5th North Los Angeles Tournament
On
July 26th, Eagle Rock hosted the 5th Annual North L.A. full-contact Kyokushin
tournament. Of the 8 fighters competing from Eagle Rock Dojo, 4 captured the title
in their division, 2 won second place, and the remaining 2 fighters earned bronze.
In four divisions, we won all four titles. This was a testament to hard work and
many hours spent training in the dojo, and running up long staircases on hot summer
mornings. Congratulations to all fighters for their efforts & achievements.

Donald "KO Kid" Kaplan is the recipient of the coveted Posse Scholarship, resulting in a full academic scholarship to Bucknell University in Pennsylvania. His parents are happy. And sad.
Geghard "G-Man" Arakelian has embarked on a career in higher education, teaching English to incorrigible college kids at CSNorthridge. Enroll in his class next semester, and tell 'im that Crunch sent you.
